Job Information

Requirements and Preferred:
• Minimum 1 – 5 years experience pulling low voltage wiring
• Travel 80% of the time
• Be on your feet for long periods of time
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to use hand and power tools
• Current driver license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities and Duties
• Install cable pathway systems including cable trays, cable racks, J-hooks and D-rings
• Install, terminate, test, label, and document horizontal, backbone and other cables
• Troubleshoot and document test results for cabling
• Dress and route cable into telecommunications closets, modular furniture, and other work area outlets
• Build out telecommunication and equipment rooms
• Fire-stop various types of cable penetrations
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills
• Pulling Low Voltage Wiring (CAT5/CAT6, data, phone, video, etc)
• CAT5/CAT6 cable terminations and testing experience preferred
• Construction experience preferred
• Ability to climb ladders and/or carry heavy loads
• Utilize OSHA required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Comply with OSHA safety rules and regulations
• Must be willing to travel
• Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include weekends
• Installing Structured Wiring Panels
• Pulling Fiber Optic Cable
